5 out of 5 stars Harmonica Rocks!   August 16, 2006

My 7 year old nephew wanted a harmonica for his birthday. I purchased this one based on other reviews and he's already rockin' with it! 5 stars all the way!

5 out of 5 stars Top Quality Harp   July 26, 2006

This is a fantastic harmonica. Great tone, and comfortable to play. I have not been able to put this harp down since I got it. It is a solid piece, not flimsy at all. You'll be most likely to have this piece for a long time. Enjoy!

5 out of 5 stars Fun With Embouchures   July 10, 2006

I love the Harmonica. It's a great instrument, very handy in that it sounds cool when it is played well yet also cool when played poorly. For example, adds nicely to the texture of the blues of James Cotton (well) as well as complementing the songs of Bob Dylan (awful).

If I ever go to prison, I'd love to have a harmonica. I hope this doesn't happen, although sometimes the unstructured time seems appealing. But I know I wouldn't last long in prison for the same reasons I didn't last long at the Buddhist monastery: I'm not good at keeping quiet.

John Popper, there's a talented harp player, although it isn't blues harp in the classical sense. I also like Junior Wells, Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson, Carey Bell, and the aforementioned James Cotton. For jazz, there is Toots Thielemans.

You know what I dig? I like when someone is playing the harmonica, playing musically, fast and with gusto, I like that little grunting noise you hear sometimes for just a fraction of a second between notes. Those little tongue clicks and snores, that's the music to me.

This is a nice harmonica. You can find cheaper, but the price isn't bad for this, and it sounds good regardless of whether you blow well or suck hard.

5 out of 5 stars Very good Harmonica   July 8, 2006

I am just learning and wanted a good quality Harmonica to start with... This one fits right in with that... I recently was able to try another 'run-of-the-mill',less expensive one found at a local store. This was not a kid's plastic variety, but one that, from an uneducated perspective, looked like it would also be a perfectly adequate harmonica to start with. Was I mistaken! I was glad that I did the research and bought the one I did! Several sites on the web recommend this type/brand for people just starting out and while there may be others that can be used for the purpose, this one lives up to the hype.

5 out of 5 stars great harmonica to start   July 4, 2006

When I have trouble practicing on my cheap 'rehersal' harmonica, I usually turn to this one. I find it easy to play and get the right notes I wanted. It is also a fine instrument to handle. If you want a serious harmonica without a serious, outrageous price, this is one to get!
