Alison Cooper credits her own life experience with creating " The First Noel, A Christmas Miracle". Working in a New Orleans recording studio in August of 2005, Alison was just beginning her career in music. A talented multi-instrumentalist, she was composing and directing what amounted to an orchestra with great success. Just as they were about to go on tour, Hurricane Katrina hit, wiping out the studio and leaving Cooper stranded in her house with rising water. After the hurricane, Cooper immediately left New Orleans to come home to Vermont, where she found the holiday seasons amongst the mountains restorative to her soul. Gathering around her a group of talented local musicians, she once again set about creating, composing for, and directing an orchestra. However, this time, she chose to concentrate on holiday music. " It was what I knew from the time I was a child, and that gave me comfort in those difficult days." The result is an album of holiday music like no other, filled with passion and skill. Well worth a listen, it is the perfect companion piece to any holiday gathering.
