The Best Ever December 21, 2002 This too is my favorite Christmas album. It strikes a perfect balance between the sometimes saccharine and bombastic choral style of the usual choir recordings, and avoids the synthesized, modern interpretations that sound anachronistic to my ears. This is the only bearable version of Jingle Bells I have ever heard. I can not recommend this highly enough.
Absolutely Unbelievable November 16, 1999 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
This cd is by far the best christmas cd in my collection of over 20. The Coventry Carol is the most stirring, moving accounts of the song that i have heard in my life, and is still my favorite carol, after i have heard it easily over 500 times. The rendition of Jingle Bells in incredible. This cd is a MUST OWN for any serious Christmas music fan.
Delightful new (old) Christmas choir music December 23, 1998 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is my very favorite Christmas carol CD! DeCormier and Pierpont have arranged the familiar and not so carols in a bright fresh wrapper. The voices feature tight (and unusual) harmonies and the instrumentation features bells and drums of the Victorian period. Give this one a listen.
