5 out of 5 stars Must Have for Fans, Great Introduction for the Uninitiated   November 16, 2008
The Knife are ahead of their time. Watching the live footage corrected some of my misconceptions on how they worked. I was surprised that the lady member of the band seems to control her own effects and sings just about everything on the album save for one song, a highlight of the visual experience, where the guest singer is portrayed on the projection screen and they have a duet in a really creepy way.

5 out of 5 stars Surreal and Imaginative   November 9, 2008
The Knife have said themselves that "Silent Shout" has come much closer to the kind of music they have had in mind than their previous albums. And what hauntingly beautiful minds they have. I wont elaborate on the album itself because if you're considering this deluxe edition you have most likely purchased or obtained the album already. But to receive a DVD of their live show/experience in Gothenburg, Sweden and all of their music videos along with a CD recording of the live show is a real treat. Very affordable considering the content and highly recommended to anyone that can identify with this type of music. Buy it and savor it.

5 out of 5 stars Unique Electronic Music, Great Visuals   September 15, 2008
This is great stuff. While the music is electronic, the sound is unique, haunting, and in many cases beautiful (even when the voices are distorted). The videos are really creative - definitely a cut above the usual stuff, even when done on a smaller scale. The video of the live performance is worth the price of the CD set alone. You will want to see these folks live! The Knife is my musical discovery for 2008.

5 out of 5 stars My new favorite CD   September 9, 2008
I love this album. It is a combination of multiple styles all of which I like individually. Since buying this I have also bought the previous albums by The Knife. I like them all but this is my new favorite CD. It hasn't come out of the car yet since I bought it.
The bonus CD and DVD are also very good. This is a great introduction to The Knife as you not only get the Silent Shout CD, but a live CD and a DVD with both the live concert and all the music videos The Knife had made up to the release of the set.
Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT Record!   June 8, 2008

One of the most interesting records ever produced. Experimental and haunting.
In a few words: it takes risks. And it succeeds.
