5 out of 5 stars Korg 40 chromatic tuner   January 7, 2009
This has proven to be an excellent product. It has increased my tuning accuracy with reducing the time it takes to do it. I would recommend the Korg CA-40 Large Display Auto Chromatic Tuner to anyone who is seriously considering a tuner for any type of instrument.

4 out of 5 stars Good value   December 16, 2008
I own 4 of these units, one each for 3 kids and one for myself. The unit responds quickly to a played note. My son plays double bass and my wife plays flute. The other kids fall in between with regard to frequency range ( cello, viola). The 2 units I ordered from the vendor came in a reasonable amount of time in excellent condition. Excellent price/performance ratio, especially at the discounted price.

5 out of 5 stars KORG CA-40   December 15, 2008
As a newbe to the guitar, this little unit was a lifesaver to give me the confidence that I was in tune. It couldn't be more simple to operate; almost plug and go.

4 out of 5 stars Pleasant change   December 6, 2008
This Chromatic Tuner was great, (Not fantastic, but great)

I use it on my 12-string guitar, so much easier than my previous guitar tuner which you had to manually switch from string-setting to string-setting. However convenient this chromatic tuner truly is, it is still not quite 'right' when compared to tuning with harmonics. Just the same I do love it. When in the future, it perchance breaks, I will buy It again.

5 out of 5 stars Korg CA-40 Chromatic Tuner - Even A Caveman Could Use!   November 29, 2008
I was pleasantly surprised to find the Korg CA-40 Chromatic Tuner lived up to its expectation - based on user reviews. A great price point, compact, but not too small, an easy-to-read LCD display, a well designed built-in stand, and a very brief learning curve with a simple to understand operation manual helps make this unit an excellent complement for virtually any instrument & any skill-level musician. Can you say "Depress the ON Button"? I LOVE the efficacy of the 'Sound Out Mode', which enables the user to arbitrarily select a note, or scale of notes, & hear a precise tonal output. This is a great way to learn the sound of a specific note by both visually seeing the displayed note on the LCD, & hearing the audible pitch of the single note or chord.
